Hi, I’m Nicholas!
I am a first-year student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, majoring in Public Relations and Advertising and minoring in Business Administration.
I am originally from Chicago, Illinois. I graduated from Whitney Young High School in June 2023. I currently attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and I am a student in the Hussman School of Media and Journalism, majoring in Public Relations and Advertising. I have taken numerous classes that relate to my major, including MEJO 121 – Introduction to Digital Storytelling, MEJO 137 – Introduction to Advertising and Public Relations, and MEJO 141 – Media Ethics. Additionally, I have experience in social media management, marketing, workplace organization and strategic planning. Outside of the classroom, I am a member of the co-ed service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega (APO), and the acapella group, Tar Heel Voices. Alpha Phi Omega is a national co-ed service fraternity organized to provide community service, leadership development, and social opportunities for college students. I currently serve as the Intramural Chair for APO, organizing events for more than one hundred members and serving the community of Chapel Hill. Tar Heel Voices is UNC’s oldest co-ed acapella group on campus. As part of this great group, I serve as Assistant Music Director and Social Chair, helping to arrange music as well as planning events for ourselves and with other acapella groups on campus. Tar Heel Voices most recently competed in ICCAs 2024, sponsored by Varsity Vocals, where we qualified for the South Semifinal (one of ten teams) and won the award for Best Arrangement at our quarterfinal. In addition, this Fall, I will be studying abroad in Florence, Italy.
